SATB, Inc. to Host 4th Business to Business Tea Conference

September 14-16, 2008 at Kathleen’s Tea Room near Asheville, NC.  With a theme of “Turning Tea Cuisine into Green” tea room owners and tea business owners will have an exclusive opportunity for continuing tea education with keynote presenter Cynthia Gold. In her position as Tea Sommelier at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, Boston, MA, Cynthia uses her diverse culinary background to combine traditional methods with cutting edge techniques to create “Tea Cuisine” and “Tea Cocktails.”  By creating new revenue streams, Gold has been able to increase the hotel’s revenue from Afternoon Tea Service by over 400%.  Cynthia is also an expert at creating custom tea blends and will be teaching Tea Cuisine and Cocktail techniques as well as a how-to blending class providing techniques and recipes.

The conference includes classes on a wide-variety of tea topics appropriate for the tea room owner and the tea business owner.  Participants will enjoy High Tea, Cream Tea, Afternoon Tea and Dessert Tea featuring “Tea as a Culinary Ingredient.”  Tami Halliman, owner of Kathleen’s Tea Room recently presented this topic to a sold-out class at the World Tea Expo. With plenty of time for networking the Business to Business Tea Conference is a perfect opportunity to connect with fellow tea business owners and experience the warmth and camaraderie the SATB is known for!
